The Granger Files
It was a cool, beginning of fall September morning with a bright blue sky. A fair sized gaggle of parents and their very young children gathered in a disorganized line outside of a bright and happy looking building with a little playground and grass making up the yard attached to it. The small building had a big sign “Little Castles” above the door in bright blue paint. The door was an appealing green and the rest of the building was white. It was about a hundred feet from the road and a 4 foot tall white picket fence with a gate surrounded the property. About 300 feet east of the building was a big cluster of some imposing looking buildings, the sound of children and excitement sputtering out occasionally.
“Mummy, where’s the teacher? Is she nice? Do you think she’ll like me?” came a little girl’s voice with thick, short, bushy brown hair and rather large little teeth as she pulled on her mother’s pant leg. “I’m sure she will Honey, and she’ll be out when the bell for school to begin rings,” her brown haired mother responded. “When will that be when will that be?!” begged the 5 year old. “In about three minutes, so if you count to 60 three times, she should be here sweetheart,” said her also brown haired father. The little girl began counting.
When she reached sixty for the third time, the sound of a school bell drifted out from the gaggle of buildings a ways away. The green door opened, and the little girl grabbed her father’s hand excitedly while gripping her itty bitty pink backpack containing her favorite crayons and Ducky (her blue and pink stegosaurus stuffed animal) with the other.
Out from the door stepped a red haired about thirtyish woman with a broad smile and a pair of bright purple overalls. “Hi Kids and Moms and Dads, welcome to Kindergarten!  I’m Ms Paisley and we’re gonna have fun this year! Who wants to finger paint?!” she cried. All the little four and five year olds cheered as she said “Come on in!”
The little girl hugged her parents and, waving, rushed into the classroom.
“Ok guys, before we do anything I need to make sure you’re all here so when I say your name, raise your hand and say here ok?!” Ms Paisley called as the last few students were pushed in gingerly by their parents, their eyes wide with nervousness. “Avery Applebee! Brittany Ajay! Christian Belops! Jill Cassidy! Brandon Dipperman!” was answered by little here’s and raised hands. The little girl waited patiently for her name, as she sat down on a yellow duck tape line on the carpet like the other children.
“Bryce Egalton! Claire Epipsky! James Frugalman! Hermione Granger!” The little girl’s hand shot up and she cried “here!” Ms Paisley continued down the list of names while Hermione waited patiently for class to actually begin. “Ok boys and girls there are a couple rules that I need you to follow ok? No biting, kicking, or hurting someone, basically try to keep your hands to yourself ok? When I’m talking, please be quiet, I promise not to talk for too long, and please be nice to the things in the classroom, they are for everybody to enjoy ok, if you guys can follow those three rules every week, then we’ll have a party every Friday ok?!” The children nodded enthusiastically. “Yes Ms Paisley,” the teacher said. “Yes Ms Paisley!” they chorused back.
“Alright go finger paint!” she made a motion with her hands as the children scattered to the easels.
It was Hermione Granger’s first day of school.
I am planning on doing Hermione's life before she goes to Hogwarts. So this will be a multi-chapter story. Comments?

Main Character and her parents belong to JK Rowling.
